Get the Most out of Your Health Care Benefits Before they Expire!

At the end of the year, many people are left with health care benefits that they haven’t used yet. Whether it’s FSA balances that need to be spent or expiration dates on Medicare that are ending on December 31th, we highly encourage you to make your appointments now so you can be assured you can get in to see your specialist in time.

Even if you’re not in pain, if you have the ability through your insurance company to see a physical therapist, we say do it because we are all about preventative care at ARC Physical Therapy.

Using these benefits is also helpful to prevent ailments down the road or keep existing issues from getting worse. One of the benefits that physical therapy clients have is that you’re able to regularly see someone who knows you and your body and can monitor for any issues they see, before they turn into something serious or result in an injury.

However, if you have used all of your benefits but don’t need us right away, we encourage you to make an appointment for January. At this time, we have a lot of availability and it’s a good idea to get a jump start on using the benefits you have on a consistent basis – your physical therapist can tell you their recommendations when you see them. The frequency that’s recommended is always a little different since everyone’s different!

Some may need traditional physical therapy, but if you’re experiencing any kind of pain, Counterstrain may be a good idea! With regular appointments every two to four months, we can clean up any dysfunctional fascia. This will help prevent the pain you came in with from returning.

Contact us if you need to make an appointment or have any questions! We’re located in both downtown Chicago as well as downtown Elmhurst.
